From Armored Titan to UFC Heavyweight Champion

The Attack on Titan series is inspired by the glorified world of mixed martial arts, but the Armored Titan has already won the UFC Heavyweight Gold.

Attack on Titan consists of a very diverse group of characters from all walks of life. From Sasha’s innocence to Annie’s coolness, the characters the global community has grown to adore can match those of any of the animated films.

However, it turns out that many of the characters were inspired by real people, most notably from icons of the mixed martial arts world.

In this article, we reveal how the Armored Titan not only took on a risky mission to take Shiganshina but also the UFC World Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar is a mountain man and easily one of the most popular combat athletes of all time. His early career saw him become a feared opponent of the amateur wrestling scene competing outside the University of Minnesota, before moving first to the WWE and then the UFC.

Lesnar wasted no time in winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship, earning the belt in only his fourth professional fight against fan favorite Randy Couture at UFC 91.

After successfully defending against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, Lesnar lost to Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem before a positive drug test overturned his latest win over Mark Hunt.

UFC Heavyweight: Division of the Blue Ribbon for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the heaviest weight category currently available for athletes weighing 206-265 lbs, is 93.4-120.2 kg.

Interestingly, in the same interview with Demetrius Johnson where he revealed Eren’s association with Takanori-gumi, Isayama said that his favorite character at the time was Rainer.

In fact, in the same interview where it was revealed that Brock Lesnar is the inspiration behind Armored Titan, Isayama to explain How Rainer himself was dependent on a close friend.

While Isayama didn’t mention that any of the other main characters were inspired by real people, the famous manga writer discussed what influenced many of his creative choices.

In an interview with NHK Japan In 2018, Isayama stated that the mountainous landscapes of his hometown of Aoyama inspired the concept of “walls” in the anime.

Similarly, when speaking with Note clarification In a magazine in 2017, he explained how some of the Titans were inspired by people who visited an internet café where he worked part-time.
