Elwes was reportedly working outside his home when the encounter with the snake and the resulting bite occurred – although exact details of how this happened and where the actor was bitten have not been revealed. The injury was serious enough to be considered life-threatening, after which Eloise was airlifted by helicopter to the hospital.
