Wordle Fan presents a new LEGO Ideas concept

Since its appearance at the end of 2021, Word It has become one of the biggest games on the planet. Word He’s garnered a passionate following, so it’s no surprise that one of the players came up with a LEGO Ideas concept based on the game. The concept is called LEGORDLE: LEGO Wordle, and it features a perfectly recreated game. There are six lines where players can place letters and a full set of squares that can be stored inside. Naturally, the tiles will be green, yellow and white to indicate whether the letter is correct or in the correct place.

A picture of the concept can be found below. Readers interested in supporting the concept can do so on the LEGO Ideas page here.

Word Created by Josh Wardle, it was sold to the New York Times earlier this year. Wardle was adamantly against monetizing the game, which is why it remains playable via the browser, not the app. The New York Times kept the game free, though they hinted that it might eventually change. Perhaps LEGO and The New York Times will make this set come true, if demand is strong enough. As of this writing, the project has a relatively small number of supporters, just under 200 people. However, there are still 373 days left to find more supporters, and it is clear that there are a lot of supporters Word Fans out there!

LEGO Ideas is a place where fans can showcase their concepts, and maybe even see them officially, if there’s enough support. Many video game fans have pitched the concepts through the site over the years, but it’s up to LEGO to decide if they’re financially feasible. Earlier this year, a fan concept based on Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog series was officially launched, although there have been some changes made from the original stadium. If the attention is strong enough, maybe the same thing will happen to LEGORDLE!
