WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal killed on ABC’s Big Sky

Last year, ABC’s Big Sky series brought some of the power of WWE superstars when SmackDown’s Maharaja Jinder Mahal joined the cast as Dhruv, a cartel enforcer that detectives Cassie and Jenny are trying to eliminate. The show’s character Mahal has now come to an end, with Dhruv murdered during the April 7 episode of the show after a conflict with Jenny (via Fight). They were squabbling in the cartel’s drug lab when fentanyl was thrown in the face of Dhruv, and he died after an overdose. His death was confirmed later in the episode when his body was found.

Mahal joined Big Sky for Season 2 in November of last year, so it was a good run for the WWE Superstar, who also appeared on SmackDown on a semi-regular basis in between shoots. Looks like he’s going to be more involved with SmackDown now that he’s not filming for the show.

For those unfamiliar with Big Sky, it follows two private detectives named Cassie and Jenny who team up once again to solve a case involving a car wreck. Things are starting to become clear that there is much more to it than an unfortunate accident, and that things continue to deteriorate from there. You can find the official description of Big Sky below.

Big Sky follows private detectives Cassie Dewell and Jenny Hoyt as they reunite to investigate a car wreck outside Helena, Montana, and soon discover that the case may not be as straightforward as it seems. As they uncover the mystery of the accident, their worlds will collide with a group of unsuspecting teens, a flirtatious face from Jenny’s past, and a sinister intruder bent on finding answers.”

As for Mahal, he’s currently teaming up with Shanky and the duo have been trying to defeat Intercontinental Champion Ricochet, who has racked up a major winning streak recently. Mahal couldn’t take down Ricochet the last time they met in the ring, but Friday’s SmackDown will see Shankey give it a shot, going one-on-one with Ricochet for the title. Mahal will be ringside of course, so you never know what could happen.
