Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in London after being convicted of four offenses under the insolvency law.

The German’s longstanding bankruptcy case stems from an unpaid loan on his property in Spain that runs into 2017, BBC report.

Baker was found guilty of four counts of concealing assets, including property and technology stocks, as well as funneling money into accounts, including ex-wife Barbara and Lily – from whom he was estranged.

After being found guilty of all four counts by a London jury earlier in April, Judge Deborah Taylor ruled against Baker at Southwark Crown Court.

The 54-year-old Baker was jailed for 30 months for the crimes, although a jury acquitted him of several other charges — including failing to deliver awards and medals as required.

Adjusted for inflation, today it would be around £100 million or $125.7 million.

After his playing career ended, Becker moved on as a commentator and analyst for BBC Sport’s Wimbledon coverage, and between 2013 and 2016 he was Novak Djokovic’s coach.

Together, Becker and Djokovic won six Grand Slam titles.
