Kevin Feige says it’s getting harder to keep Marvel secrets

It’s getting even tougher for the folks at Marvel Studios to keep the franchise’s biggest secrets, at least according to studio head Kevin Feige. Most of the movies and TV shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are filled with big reveal and spoilers. This is especially true of recent efforts such as Spider-Man: There is no room for home And Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness. This means that unexpected actors appear on sets more often and fans are discovering more information than they might want to know before a Marvel movie debuts.

During the new press conference Dr. Gharib Sequel, Feige was asked about hiding spoilers and secrets from the public eye until the films were shown. Feige responded by saying that, unfortunately, that is impossible at this point. It’s possible that something will leak out at some point. So the point of Marvel Studios is to make great movies even if fans know some big surprises.

“The unfortunate reality is that you don’t, and therefore you need to make sure that the experiment itself works, regardless of what is messed up or not,” explained Feige. “We’re still doing as good a job as possible and I think a lot of people are good at not posting it. You know someone is stealing something, you don’t post it because it would potentially lessen the experience, but in a lot of ways No Way Home has shown it didn’t reduce the experience, so we will continue to do our best, but the most important thing is to give the film or the show being presented regardless of what you know is happening.”

As Feige mentioned, Spider-Man: There is no room for home It is a great example of building something that can be widely loved even if its biggest secrets are revealed early on. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were spotted on set There is no place for home during its production. Despite Garfield’s vast and persuasive lies, fans knew that former Spider Man The stars will be in There is no place for home. But this did not prevent him from trying the film.

Going forward, Marvel will need to continue to rely more heavily on story and character development than big surprises and exciting revelations. Fortunately, that was the studio’s goal.

Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness It hits theaters on Friday.
