Nintendo Switch Online Reveals New Animal Crossing Game and Mario Kart Freebies

Over the past few weeks, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have had the opportunity to disable custom codes that would otherwise not be available. Heading into May, Nintendo has pulled the curtain on new icons based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons And Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Technically, subscribers must spend platinum points to get these codes, but each one costs only 10 points, while wallpapers and frames cost only 5 points. Nintendo tends to make getting platinum points very easy, and these codes are a really fun way for players to go about something different!

Nintendo revealed these new codes in a pair of tweets tonight, which can be found embedded below.

all new Animal Crossing: New Horizons Codes are available through June 6, and feature residents who have birthdays in May. icons based on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Treated a little differently, each week will feature a new set of racers and wallpapers based on the game, while a selection of special frames will be available throughout the month. The current set of icons contains racers such as Mario, Luigi, Wario, Cat Peach, and more. There are still codes based on Kirby and the Forgotten LandReaders should note, however, that these will only be available for a few more days!

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers who need Platinum points have some easy ways to do this. During the month of May, 50 Quick Points can be earned by playing Kirby Superstar On the Super NES app (included as part of your subscription). Splatoon 2 Owners can also get another 100 platinum points by playing the game until May 9th. Of course, those who prefer physical rewards over digital rewards can always use their Platinum Points in the My Nintendo Store instead. The store currently has rewards based on many different games, including Animal Crossing: New HorizonsAnd Pokemon Legends: ArceusAnd Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
