New Fortnite Update Brings Battle to Tilted Towers, Balances Guns

It is an electronic game Developer Epic Games has released a new update for the popular free-to-play battle royale video game which makes several notable changes to the title. The v20.30 patch, dedicated to the Battle Royale mode, continues the fight between IO and the Resistance by bringing it to one of the map’s most iconic locations, Titled Towers. That’s not all. There’s also Star Wars festivities, a major gun scale update, and the return of the Choppas.

While all of these are certainly interesting in their own right, it is the rebalancing of the guns that seems to be the most enduring. In short, gun damage has increased for most shots – but now there is also a maximum damage limit that defines exactly what it looks like: the maximum damage a single shot can do from a gun. You can check all changes to guns in It is an electronic gameAnd straight from the sourceless:

  • The minimum number of pellet hits has been increased from 3 to 4 for the Striker Pump Shotgun, Auto Shotgun, and Drum Shotgun.
  • Increased Striker Pump and Machine Rifle Shotgun Damage and Headshot Damage.
  • Ranger and barrel gun round damage has increased significantly, but core pellet damage has not changed.
  • Adjusted barrel gun damage decrease, shortening the effective range.

As for the tilting turret battle, there are funding stations for an armored battle bus in addition to the turrets. Adding more intrigue to this latest fight is the fact that Huntmaster Saber is back in battle, despite bringing in I.O. Blimp to make things more difficult. The lightsaber returns to celebrate Star Wars Day, and there are Choppas funding stations at the various seven outposts. Once Choppa is fully funded, it will be phased out.
