With Netflix currently working on its first live adaptation of Straw Hat Pirates, the young actor who was set to bring Luffy to life, Iñaki Godoy, has released a new video to help celebrate the birthday of Shonen hero working to become the King of the Pirates.
Besides Godoy, a number of Straw Hat Pirates have been cast in the new Netflix series, including Makino as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, and Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp. On top of these heroes, the series has also cast the likes of Morgan Davis as Kobe, Elijah Isurilis Paulino as Alveda, Aidan Scott as Helmbo, Jeff Ward as Boogie, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Vincent Reagan as Garp and Peter Gadiot as The role of the red-haired stems. As the series looks forward to adapting the early storylines of One Piece, fans are tiptoeing that the adaptation will be able to live up to its source when all is said and done.

At the moment, a release date for this new live adaptation has not been revealed, although fans have been concerned about the longevity of the series following Netflix’s cancellation. Cowboy Bebop.
