The issue of Moon Knight Season 2 became a hot topic of discussion on social media earlier this week in the lead up to today’s episode. Marvel Studios shared the latest trailer for moon knight which originally used the phrase “final series”. After that, the tweet that included the trailer was deleted and a new post was made referring to a file moon knight The episode as the “season finale,” which led to discussion of whether or not the Marvel show was a limited series or its continuation in future installments.
Unfortunately, Oscar Isaac is throwing cold water on the idea of a second season, confirming that there are no plans at this time for Season 2 of moon knight. Isaac said, “You know, I think we treated it like ‘That’s the story’.” RadioTimes.com. “And let’s put everything on the table in this story. There are certainly no official plans to continue with that. I think it will depend on what the story is.”
The site goes on to say that Isaac is said to have only been contracted for one season. However, the star admitted that he enjoyed filming the series and is open to playing Mark Spector and Stephen Grant again. “However, I would love to be Stephen,” he said. “I just love him. It’s like, physically, it’s so much fun being him. So, you know, if there was a story that really made sense, I’d be happy to be a part of it.”
Ethan Hawke (Arthur Harrow) and Mai Kalamawi (Laila El Foley) support Oscar Isaac’s feelings of not knowing moon knightA future while also keeping the door open for a possible return.
“I didn’t hear anything,” Kalamawi said. “if there was [are plans], I haven’t heard yet. If there was, I would consider going back. Definitely.”
“Do you want to play the same character for long periods of time? Most actors don’t,” Hawke added. “But if you make the masses happy, your mind changes.”
Hawk has previously commented on the possibility of him returning as the character of Arthur Harrow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether in the moon knight Season 2 or in another Marvel project. “The good news is that they are likely both,” Hawk told IGN in response to a question about whether Moon Knight is a limited series event or an ongoing story. “It lives and breathes to its own advantage, it works as a limited series — and if people get involved and excited about it, it could be the original story for something bigger.”
