Undisputed ROH Women’s World Champion crowned AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Martinez defeated Deonna Purrazzo successfully this week AEW Dynamite In order to unify the two World Championships for Women in the Arena of Honor. Purrazzo won the title at Impact Wrestling in January but couldn’t defend it Super Honor Card Over the weekend at WrestleMania, he left her out of the first ROH event under Tony Kahn. Martinez then received a yellow card against Willow to be crowned provisional champion and win. She was able to force “The Virtuosa” to perform tonight in Baltimore by introducing the Dragon Sleeper.

Almost all Ring of Honor titles are now owned by wrestlers working under contract with AEW. Samoa Joe holds the TV title, Wheeler Utah is the net champion, FTR has the tag titles and Martinez now has the women’s title. Jonathan Grisham became the undisputed ROH World Supercard Champion and has since defended the gold medal in AEW programming, but there has been no confirmation that he has signed an exclusive contract with Khan. The Six-Party Tag Team Championship, which was last held by The Righteous, has not been seen since then The last battle.

Khan was asked again on the Supercard if he had any updates regarding the upcoming Ring of Honor event and its future on TV (his previous expiration with Sinclair Broadcast recently expired), but he was unable to provide any updates. Some ROH matches have since appeared in both Dynamite and Rampage.
