Mike Myers fans are thrilled to get the all-new Netflix series pentagram, in which he takes a number of different characters to hilarious results, but local audiences aren’t the only ones impressed with Myers, as actors Richard McCabe and Lydia West were just as pleased with the performer as viewers. With the actor playing a number of diverse roles on the project, the actors were presented with a number of challenges, although the implementation of such a complex experience was a little easier for them than it was for Myers. pentagram Currently streaming on Netflix.
“Well, you’re really only dealing with one Mike Myers at a time, so we don’t see multiple characters. Mike was generally doing one day each character, so you can go to multiple locations and shoot with that one character in all of those different locations,” McCabe stated. Even if you brush that away, you’ll still recognize each one of these characters because, as I say, they’re totally rooted in the truth.”
West noted, “In fact, to this day, I met Mike in my trailer on the day of rehearsal and he was in a makeup test as Ken Scarborough, and to this day, I’ve never seen Mike Myers without makeup. So I met him as Ken, I met him as Anthony. [Lansdowne]but I don’t know what Mike looks like.”
The series is described, “What if a secret society of five men worked to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, an unexpected Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and possibly save the world himself.” Remember, Pentavir must never be exposed!”
Due to his impressive career, Myers has given many high profile shows, in which each actor has participated in the characters of Myers that they love most.
“For me, Austin Powers, I think, really. Being British, all Austin Powers Imtiaz, it was a love letter to London at the time. McCabe admitted that he exemplified it. And he was really affectionate, like all things Mike does, there is real affection for him, he cares. He has a heart.”
West added, “I think I’d say Shrek must have been Mike Myers’ dream. Childhood memories when I think of Shrek, so Shrek has a place in my heart.”
