The CW has released photos for “Funeral For a Friend” Episode 14 of SparkleSeason eight. The episode is scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 11th, and as the title says, the Flash team will be seen attending the funeral of a friend – Frost. This week’s episode of Death Falls saw Frost face off against Deathstorm and while she was able to successfully defeat the threat and save her sister’s life, Caitlin, capturing the Deathstorm’s power was too much for Frost and despite her best efforts, she died. It is a death that will shake the entire team deeply. You can check out the episode synopsis for yourself below.
“HONOR THE FALLEN – Team Flash uses the distraction of a bank stealing a Meta to undo the grief of losing someone he loves. The series stars Grant Justin, Jesse L Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaquer, Danielle Nicolette, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight. Vanessa Paris directed the episode with the story of Jonathan Butler and Gabriel Garza and TV for Jeff. Hirsch”.
“I think this is going to be a real challenge for Caitlin,” Panabaker recently told ComicBook.com. “She hadn’t had a partner in the romantic or platonic sense in years and I think Frost really filled that void. And despite the fact that their relationship, which wasn’t perfect, that she loved, Frost was her partner in just about every sense and loss of that person, sister and friend. All of that, I think, would be devastating for her and I’m not sure how she will recover.”
“It’s a huge loss for them,” Banabaker said of the Flash team. “Last year when I left Cisco, that was a loss, but he came back and it was a different kind of gold, but not forever. Frost is gone forever, and I think it would take a minute for Team Flash to find a foothold.”
