Seven tearful moments in the history of This Is Us from season one to six

After six amazing seasons, the beloved family drama is on NBC this is us It’s coming to an end.

There are only three episodes left and fans are already crying at the thought of ending their favorite show.

Starting from September 2016, this is us Follows the story of Jack, his wife and triplets as they grow up and navigate life.

Kevin, Kate and Randall live completely different lives, with the latter adopted, but they have an unbreakable bond of brotherhood.

The series, which some have described as a tragedy, has some incredibly sad and emotional moments, but it’s what makes the show so great.

Trailer This Is Us Season 1

There are so many sad moments in this is usbut Randall’s adoption has to be one of the biggest, which comes at the start of Season 1.

First, Kyle dies from Jack and Rebecca’s triplets during childbirth, which is a teardrop in itself.

Then, Randall’s mother dies (or so William thought) and Randall’s father can’t handle being a single father, so he leaves him outside a fire station.

Baby Randall is taken to the hospital where Jack and Rebecca had triplets and they decided to adopt him, a happy tearful moment.

Jack’s death

Without a doubt one of the biggest tear-jerkers is the death of Father Jack, which we see flash forward throughout the entire second season.

However, we didn’t find out exactly what happened until Season Two Episode 14, an episode titled Super Bowl Sunday 1998.

The fire started due to the wrong utensil given to them by a neighbor and the whole house was on fire.

Fiores believes that Jack will die in the fire but survives before dying later in the hospital from smoke inhalation.

William’s death

Throughout his childhood, Randall always struggled to be different and questioned his real parents.

Therefore, when he grows up, he goes in search of his real father, William, and the couple grows closer.

We watch their relationship blossom before William is too old and sick, and eventually dies in an incredibly tearful episode.

Shortly before his death, Randall and William went on an emotional journey down memory lane, traveling to Memphis where he grew up.

Rebecca’s disease in the future

Deaths will always bring a tear to your eye, but one of the most emotional moments was when we first saw Rebecca sick.

It was the scene in the season three finale, when viewers saw a flash forward to Rebecca’s future life.

In a moment of shivering tears, viewers see the mother lying on the bed, apparently not feeling well.

We later learn that she has dementia and we watch her slowly lose her memory and get worse when Miguel takes care of her.

Kevin’s addiction

Turning to Kevin, the trio battle a painful battle with alcoholism and addiction.

He hit rock bottom in season two, experiencing the pressures of being in the public eye and sinking into depression.

In one emotional scene, he sits in his hotel room drinking vodka alone, reflecting on his late father’s addiction.

Kevin then moves to Rebab in Episode 11 but relapses again in Season 3 after finding his Uncle Nicky.

Randall’s meltdown

Randall has had his fair share of sad moments, but his biggest tear is his meltdown.

Amid a massive fallout with his brother Kevin, which is sad in itself, he breaks down in tears on the floor of his office.

The trio is grappling with the pressures of being a counsellor, the Covid-19 pandemic and battling its inner demons as they suffer a massive meltdown.

However, despite their differences, Kevin is there to pick him up and the couple spend a fraternal moment.

Miguel’s death

Finally, this list wouldn’t be complete without the heartbreaking last minute, Miguel’s death.

Jack’s close friend, who later married his wife Rebecca years after his death, died unexpectedly near the end of Season 6, leaving fans shocked.

Everyone thought Rebecca would die first, but Miguel slowly grows up and gets sick because he takes care of her while her mental illness worsens.

In a shocking spectacle, we see Miguel’s son for the first time as the family scatters his ashes.

These are the seven best tearful moments, but we have a feeling the last three episodes will bring the most tears.
