In case you haven’t seen it, there’s an interesting detail in the courthouse of Philly’s home at Wells Fargo Center: a snake.

The image of the snake is found within the three-point line on both sides of the playing field. The snake is blue in color, and it is strange that it has been dismembered.

to me Washington Postthe drawing of the snake was first published in the Pennsylvania Gazette – a local newspaper – in 1754.

According to the newspaper: “Franklin’s snake drawing was published in the Pennsylvania Gazette in 1754 as America’s first political cartoon.

His snake was cut into eight parts, each representing an American colony (or area, in the case of New England) with the words ‘Join, or die’ written underneath.

“The image accompanied Franklin’s persuasive editorial about ‘The Dismantled Country’, conveying the message during the French and Indian War that America would be stronger if united. At the time, the word was a severed snake that could be revived if the pieces were reattached before sunset.”

The 76ers adopted the image in 2018 during the playoffs as part of the “Phila Unite” marketing campaign, and the rest is history.

How the 76ers Series with Heat has come so far

Somewhat surprisingly, Embiid played in Match 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals, despite suffering multiple injuries. He suffered an orbit fracture and a mild concussion in the previous round against the Raptors.

The 76ers misjudged Embiid badly in Game 1 as they fell 106-92 to Miami. The Miami Heat then finished the second game with a 119-103 victory to put them 2-0 ahead in the series.

During the pivotal match 3, Embiid scored 18 points and 11 rebounds in a much-needed win. The series is now 2-1 hit.
