One piece The much awaited chapter 1048 was recently released, and the chapter delivered everything that fans have come to expect. Well, during that moment, there was also a small reference to the Hindu deity, Lord Hanuman.

Luffy’s new attack is probably based on Lord Hanuman

Kaido, who was still able to stand against Luffy’s new form, revealed the form of a flaming dragon. In this form, Kaido burned Onigashima’s horn as soon as he touched it. Next, Kaido challenges Luffy to continue his attack, and as expected, Luffy does not hold back. Then the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates launched his new attack called “Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun.”

Interestingly enough, Bajrang Bali, or Lord Hanuman, is a deity worshiped in Hinduism. Therefore, several One piece I quickly understood the meaning behind Luffy “Bajrang Rifle” attacks. After that, fans also began to draw parallels between Lord Hanuman’s powers and the newly discovered abilities of Monkey D. Luffy.

In the Ramayan, an ancient Sanskrit epic, there is mention of Lord Hanuman’s growing size, and this is something we’ve seen Luffy do in the later chapters. Apart from this, some fans believe that Luffy’s father, Monkey D. Dragon, is somehow inspired by Lord Hanuman’s father, Vayudev, or the god of the winds. In Hinduism, Vayudev is the lord of the winds, and the Monkey D. Dragon also had powers associated with the winds due to the wind fruit.

Of course, it is difficult to confirm how many abilities Luffy is really inspired by Lord Hanuman. However, it’s definitely interesting to get little references like this in manga chapters.
