After Grupo Firme’s Foro Sol Gala on Saturday, May 7, 2022, Edwin Caz was taken to a hospital in Mexico and taken to the emergency room due to the effects surrounding his chronic condition.

The 27-year-old has a chronic hernia, and despite being told he shouldn’t drink, he forgot about it and “really got drunk during two shows in a row, and ate a lot of food afterwards” and this is consequently affecting his condition.

The singer continued:

My stomach was burning. On Saturday I woke up with stomach aches and diarrhea and took some medication. I also drank that day, but now, with medicine in my system.”

Regarding his symptoms, Caz reportedly felt his entire body burning before he could take the pain and fainted. Then the ambulance arrived and took him to a local clinic where he took painkillers and a specialist explained that the reason for this was heartburn.

The Grupo Firme member also said, “My vocal cords burned, and I could feel the fire in my chest and back.”
