The film follows Jamie (Shipka) who terrorizes her mother Pam (Bowen) from the re-emergence of the Sweet Sixteen Killer – a masked maniac who murders a group of teenage girls in the ’80s. With the help of her friend Amelia (Kelsey Mawema), she travels back in time to 1987 and teams up with the teenage version of her mother (Holt) to try to stop the killer.
