Complete spoiler warning for Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness less! With the movie starting to come out right after watching it, professional director and director Kevin Smith is back with full thoughts on the latest Marvel Studios release, Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness. Among the things Smith noted was that he was surprised that the vision didn’t appear in the movie and that the John Krasinski Reed Richards movie was the worst on the internet. On the whole, while Smith clearly enjoyed it, he seemed to think that the film might not have lived up to the promise made by its title. Speaking on his latest FatMan Beyond podcast, Smith said.
The director said, “I think the ‘Multiverse of Madness’ is implied before I watch the movie: ‘You’ll see a lot of iterations of these characters,’ and that’s not a complaint, it just felt like they promised Disney World and gave you six flags… in terms of the ‘Multiverse of Madness’. ; He was like ‘Well, I guess we’ve been to more than one universe but haven’t spent much time doing that.'”
He added, “It wasn’t enough to make me like ‘I didn’t like this,’ I loved the movie I had a great time in. I think I got in with…when I read ‘Multiverse of Madness’, ‘I’m like this would just be an amusement house like characters’ Marvel cornucopia…that, I felt Spider-Man: There is no room for home 1.5 and that’s fine for me, I love this….it was thinner than I could have imagined and you know again that it has something to do with internet reading and believing gossip sites. I was sure that Tom Cruise as the superior Iron Man would be in this movie. Again, it’s not like, “And you hated him because he wasn’t,” but that was the level of expectation that was introduced, like “You haven’t seen anything yet!” And we saw something similar.”
Smith went on to say that he hopes Marvel Studios will continue to work with Raimi and believes that Raimi and James Gunn are the “perfect Marvel filmmakers”. He noted that with the sequel title and the addition of Raimi behind the camera, he thought it would spoil the 2016 movie, when in fact it didn’t.
“I was like, ‘Okay, this is going to blow up the original Dr. Gharib Out of the water, ‘But at the end of the day it doesn’t. It’s a cute yet original companion piece Dr. Gharib It’s still a really great movie that does very well and this is just like the amusement park version or something. like if Dr. Gharib It was Raiders of the Lost Astronomythat was definitely Temple of Death…again, I loved it, I don’t want to give anyone the impression that I (I didn’t). I really loved it, but it wasn’t the movie I thought it would be, and it didn’t spoil it for me one iota, but I want to watch it again… I loved it enough to want to go see it again… I enjoyed it so much.”
