Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness original opening cut with 616 Mordo and Scarlet Witch

Now that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been out in theaters for two weeks, fans are already looking forward to the next step for the mystery franchise. Before long, the critically acclaimed sequel will arrive on home media with a slew of additional content. While it has yet to be confirmed that this will be one of the deleted scenes included in this home media release, an insider points out that the film was supposed to begin with a scene between Baron Mordo (Chewetel Ejiofor) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in Earth- 616).

According to YouTuber heavy spoilers (via direct)Mordo was approaching Wanda on her farm on his mission to slay all magic users within the universe. As you might suspect, the scene didn’t end well, as Wanda reportedly killed the Master of Mysterious Arts.

“If you go back in your mind to the end of Doctor Strange, you’ll remember that the post-credits scene set him off on a mission to kill Wizarding World worse than the Fantastic Beasts did,” Heavy Spoilers says in a recent video. “In the Multiverse of Madness, Strange mentions how Mordo was trying to kill him when he meets the Illuminati version. But, that’s something we’ve never seen and it’s definitely not something he really knows because Mordo has never really said anything like that at their last meeting.”

YouTube adds: “Now Mordo was the main villain who appeared in the movie’s intro, and it will be used to show the new Wanda’s tough stance.” “He’d go attack her and she’d turn him into his mom’s spaghetti, decapitating him within seconds of arriving. It would be a great way to start the movie, and she instantly cemented Wanda as a villain.”

Next, the content creator suggests that the movie would then have jumped into a gap-crossing sequence where both America’s Chavez (Zuchitel Gomez) and Defender String (Benedict Cumberbatch) escape the Devil, the film’s final sequence.

Instead of Mordo visiting the villain, Strange visits Wanda on her farm. While it doesn’t kill him then and there, the farm setting emphasizes the character’s villainous role and Ejiofor appears in the end, just as Earth-838’s Baron Mordo, the supreme wizard of this universe from the Death Strange Supreme.
