TIt is life and legacy Naomi Good Legendary country music artist celebrated on Sunday at a passionate TV event called Naomi Judd: Celebrating the River of Time.
Jude Girls, Actress ashley54, and singer Winona57 years old, organized the event with Larry StricklandTheir late stepfather. The celebration was broadcast live from Nashville Riemann Hall employment CMT The two daughters paid a tearful tribute to their mother, who passed away two weeks ago.
Ashley began the tribute by offering a eulogy to the singer-songwriter, recalling her complex struggles as a single mother. Holding back her tears, Ashley spoke of Judd who had suffered severe abuse as a child and adult.
“The upshot is that here tonight we remember an icon and legend who left country music better than what I found,” Ashley said. “Since April 30th, we remember the complex and dynamic life of our mother and our story. She was every woman. Perhaps, that’s why everyone thought they knew her. She was a nurse. She was a single mother who sometimes relied on public help, She was traumatized by early childhood abuse, intimate partner violence and rape Her boss fired her when she refused to go with him for the weekend.
“She was a mama to her grandchildren, Elisha and Grace, and to my chosen family and she was absolutely wonderful. Five-time Grammy Award winnermulti-platinum artist, Hall of Famer praised by millions and the night we remember it in the song.”

Other artists like Emilio HarrisAnd Brad PaisleyAnd Little Big Town And more went to perform some of Jude’s signature songs. With the memorial coming to a close, Wynonna announced that she would be moving the songs forward on the 11-date Judds tour that she and her mother announced in April.
