NBC has been revived from Quantum leap It released the first set of photos featuring the new team. NBC revealed the fall 2022 schedule during its Upfronts presentation, which found Quantum leap It airs on Mondays at 10 PM ET the sound 8 p.m. Eastern time. A reimagined sci-fi series starring Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Seung, the spiritual successor to Scott Bakula’s Dr. Sam Beckett from the original series. the new Quantum leap The film takes place 30 years after Beckett enters the Quantum Leap and goes missing. Now, a new cast is rebooting the project in hopes of understanding its secrets and the man who made it. The network gave Quantum Leap a seasonal order in early May.
NBC shared four photos from the pilot episode of Quantum leapIt features Raymond Lee along with his actors Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanressa Lee. There is a lot of tension and drama in the visuals, reminiscent of the original TV series that ran from 1989 to 1993 for five seasons and 97 episodes.
Scott Bakula discussed the possibilities of a Leap Reboot during his appearance on the late Bob Saget here for you Podcast in September. At the time, he hinted that rights issues could be a sticking point in making it a reality.
“There are very important conversations going on right now about this,” Bakula said. “I don’t know what it will be. I don’t know who will get them. The rights have been in a mess for years. I don’t know if they have been settled now. This has always been the biggest complication.”
In another interview with TVLineeven Bakula had an idea of how the reboot could function as its own story as well as address the way the original series ended with Sam never making the jump home permanently, although he did manage to come back a few times to visit his wife and these hits is the key.
“There’s definitely a kid that could have come from any of those trips again,” Bakula said in February 2021. “That’s one idea, and it seems like a good one. We all know Sam is still around, and I always tell people that they should be.” Rest assured – he’s still there fixing the things that happened before.”
