The week I was doing [on The Masked Singer]… before the finals. We did this – the three of us sing a song together. It was “one way or another”. The same week we were singing, I was asked to sing it at The Goldbergs. I said: Oh my God. Will it be broadcast at the same time or one before the other? Like, are people going, ‘Wait a minute, you’re literally singing the same song. It would have been a dead giveaway. Fortunately, time passed as no one caught it.
In a strange turn of events, Goldberg Erica wanted Hailey Aurantia to sing the same song she sang while she was there masked singer. Fortunately, the two episodes didn’t sync up to air on the same night, so fans couldn’t easily make the connection and call up Orrantia.
Scheduling episodes was stressful enough but it wasn’t the only stressful part of the process. Hailey Urancia explained that part of the reason it was so stressful was because she couldn’t tell her Goldberg The crew it was on masked singer:
I actually couldn’t even tell anyone at Goldbergs so we had to say, “Oh, I’m working on something else this week, can you schedule me for today?” And they’re like, “What is this,” and I’m like, “I can’t talk about that.” I couldn’t tell them, “Hey, we can’t do this song because it would give me away from The Masked Singer.” That was a weird stress point at one point but it worked out really well.

Urantia said she basically only told her parents about the experience, because they were so close and they would worry if you went for hours without texting them. Furthermore, she was able to keep quite a few people in the dark, so that’s a good thing Goldberg The lid didn’t blow off the whole surprise!
