Adidas Ultraboost 22 drops to lowest price on this Amazon sale

If you’re looking to upgrade your running shoe, but don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new pair, you’ve got it covered. One of the best shoes On the market right now, and one of Adidas’ most popular pair of everyday running shoes has just dropped into a sale on Amazon.

right Now The adidas Ultraboost 22 is on sale for $132 at Amazon. That’s a healthy saving of $58 on a great pair of running shoes.

As a fitness editor and marathon runner, I’ve tested most of the running shoes on the market, and one pair I consistently recommend is the Adidas Ultraboost 22. It’s a brilliant every day running shoe that will get you running around your first 5km, or first marathon comfortably. It also looks cool enough to wear to the office, or go out to lunch after a run, which isn’t necessary, but if you’re spending $100 on a pair of shoes, it’s good to have.

Released in December 2021, the adidas Ultraboost 22 retails for a full $190, which is pretty expensive for a running shoe built for everyday miles and doesn’t have a carbon fiber plate (check out the best carbon fiber running shoes for racing today here). Now is the time to buy, as the shoes are currently on sale on Amazon in men’s and women’s sizes.

With the 22nd iteration of the popular shoe, adidas has revealed a new design for women, after scanning 1.2 million women’s feet to redesign the Ultraboost 21, giving the Ultraboost 22 a narrower heel, instep, and S-curved heel to allow the Achilles tendon to move more freely.

The result is a comfortable running shoe with a plush midsole made of adidas Boost foam. Boost wraps the length of the foot for a responsive feel. The foam itself is by no means as soft as the ones used in the likes Invincible Nike, but that gives the Ultraboost 22 a lot more versatility, so it’s by no means a bad thing. The Invincible’s soft foam doesn’t hold enough surprises to really help you pick up speed on a faster run, while the Ultraboost 22 performed well on the progression track, although faster runners might find it a little on the heavy side.

The Ultraboost 22 features the same Linear Energy Propulsion (LEP) system as the Ultraboost 21. That’s a great name for the adidas plastic insert added to the outsole, and it’s designed to give runners 15% more torsional rigidity, allowing you to use the shoe to pick up speed when you need it most. The female version of the shoe also has more arch support, which is designed to help prevent pronation while running.

Overall, this is a good choice for most runners. It is comfortable and supportive and has a moderate level of support for those who are overly enthusiastic. It’s heavy, so faster runners will likely want to save it for easy running days, but beginners will love the support it provides underfoot.
