Hasbro went wisely with this look’s classic Quasar look, which is only enhanced by Robert Redford’s aforementioned flair. If you’re unfamiliar, in January 1978, Captain America #217 introduced a character called Neutron to the Marvel Universe. Don Glott and Roy Thomas wrote The Cosmic Being, and fans came to know the man as Quasar. Originally an X-Men character, Neutron adopted the Quasar moniker in 1990, but the superhero has undergone many iterations since then. Wendell Vaughn, Phyla-Vell, Richard Rider, and Avril Kincaid have adopted the Quasar name over the years. This particular figure is based on the character of Wendell Vaughn.
The cosmic superhero has close relationships with heroes like Nova, and the character has some pretty impressive powers.
