Kumail Nanjiani reveals how Obi-Wan Kenobi works compared to eternity

Kumail Nanjiani made waves with his amazing body transformation for the Marvel Studios movie based on eternity. The actor was known to us for his very regular looks and then turned to Adonis for his superhero role. Since then, Nanjiani has landed a role in another Disney project with the upcoming limited-edition Star Wars series based on Obi-Wan Kenobi. The two franchises are completely different, so you might assume the production process would be completely different and you’d be right. In a new interview with Entertainment Weeklythe actor detailed what was different between working on a file star Wars A project compared to Marvel Studios.

“I think with Star Wars, the difference was…Obviously working on the Eternals, it’s the MCU. Everyone is really into the MCU, but we kind of work with new characters, right? People don’t really know these characters and they don’t really know this.” The part of the MCU,” Nanjiani revealed. “It’s a new world being created as you go. With Star Wars, you’re really stepping into something that’s been created for a very long time. It’s still the same visual language, and people know these characters. So, for me, the thing that sets Star Wars apart from any other work I’ve done.” Its how the whole crew was a huge fan of Star Wars. Every day, people were wearing Star Wars clothes, Chewbacca T-shirts. And everyone was really, really excited every single day to work in Star Wars. And I’ve never done a job where every day I felt that Everyone is grateful to be there.”

“I’ll go to work and they’ll be like, ‘Oh, you know what we did yesterday?'” We have done this. Then we did this, and then we did this. “And everyone was so excited to go to work every day. These are the things that everyone loved because they could remember, and the fact that they started working on it wasn’t lost on this crew. So the crew’s joy in that was really unique and special.” The actor added.

Obi-Wan Kenobi It is set to focus on the time period following Revenge of the Sith as McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi watches young Luke Skywalker in Tatooine and will even feature Obi-Wan and Darth Vader meeting. Obi-Wan Kenobi Director Deborah Chow recently compared the two’s relationship to a love story.

“For me, across the previous parts, through the original trilogy, there’s a love story dynamic with these two that goes through it all,” Zhao revealed to Vanity Fair. “I felt so hard not to do that[include] The person who left Kenobi in such pain in the series… What distinguishes this relationship is that they loved each other.”

Lucasfilm and Disney+ describe the series as follows: “In the era of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a critical mission. Kenobi must confront allies who have turned into enemies and confront the wrath of the Empire.” Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on May 27, 2022 on Disney+. The series stars Ewan McGregor, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Pace, Kumail Nanjiani, Song Kang, Musa Ingram, Indira Varama, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Robert Friend, Simon Kessel and Benny Sadhvi.
