Naruto writer clarifies the question about the new Boruto anime arc

Naruto has been around for decades now, and the series is being carried out by a new generation of heroes. Boruto Uzumaki has fans wrapped around his fingers whether we’re talking about manga or anime. These days, the show is stirring controversy with its current arc, and the writer behind the anime addresses one question fans have about the story.

The whole thing surfaced on Twitter as Honda Masaya welcomed the latest episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. It was there that the screenwriter admitted that the last two episodes of the anime flipped during production.

“Originally the order of episodes 250 and 249 was reversed, but we decided to switch the order to make the scene in which Boruto is attacked by Kubona more surprising. So the next 251 episode will be a continuation of 249,” Masaya Share. “Finato Arc is finally entering its final phase, and Team 7 bonds will be tested. Please don’t miss it.”

For those who keep up with Boruto, the anime is still in the Great Sea Battle at Kirigakure arc. Boruto is away from Hidden Leaf along with his team and some other friends from back home. The group teamed up with some of Kirigakure’s allies to defeat a villain named Funamushi, but the arc took a dark turn when several of Boruto’s allies were killed. These deaths prompted Masaya and the production team to switch about arranging the arc episodes. And when the anime returns next week, things will be back to normal as this arc approaches its final stretch.
