Obi-Wan and Anakin’s new book make major knight bonds in the Old Republic

Of course, when Disney acquired Star Wars IP, it wiped out a large portion of the Star Wars canon. However, Star Wars: Brotherhood Writer Mike Chen was able to include a few references to the game in his book. Chen took to Twitter and shared a number of thoughts on the finer details and Easter eggs in the book, emphasizing some nods to the games despite the fact that they no longer exist. The first is that Anakin commands a cargo ship of the same class as the Ebon Hawk, the ship featured in Knights of the Old Republic. Second, there is a chase bot at the racetrack which is a recreated Hong Kong robot, similar to the game’s killer HK-47. Finally, the book also notes that Anakin and Obi-Wan went on a mission in Taris, the city featured in the opening section of the Knights of the Old Republic. For fans of the series, it’s good to know that BioWare’s contributions to the larger Star Wars universe have not been forgotten.

It is possible that some of these things can be restored in canon as a file Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic New edition in the works. There is no official word on when the game will be released, but it is rumored to launch sometime in 2023. It’s unclear how much of the game will be changed and what will stay the same in this new version, but it seems Aspyr Media is with the goal of creating something that keeps In the spirit of an RPG.
