new moon knight The feature released by Marvel reveals the effort to bring multiple characters portrayed by Oscar Isaac on screen at the same time. Since the show’s first episode, it has invited mirrors or other opportunities to show Mark Spector’s interaction with Stephen Grant Isaac to play different characters that inhabit the same body. At several moments during the latter half of the show’s junior season, two characters played by Isaac shared the same physical space. Now, the magic of the movie has been revealed.
“First of all, hats off to Jeremy Slater, our lead writer, and obviously, obviously, hats off to Oscar who put in a great performance,” mon kuniExecutive Producer Grant Curtis said on the Phase Zero podcast. “Without Oscar, we’re not talking about Mark Spector, we’re not talking about Stephen Grant. And then obviously the two directors, Mohamed Diab, Benson and Moorhead. But really, when I started that sentence, hats off to Jeremy Slater because Jeremy and our wonderful room of writers, It was really through Jeremy who said, “I want to present the audience through the lens and through Stephen Grant’s eyes because Stephen Grant learns all this real time like the audience. So, if I can put the audience in the same place as Stephen, we’re gas cooking. And that was Jeremy.”
As it turns out, Isaac’s brother stood on his behalf in sequences that invited Stephen and Mark to interact. The video below shows the technical elements of the production which allowed for seamless interactions.
moon knight It’s not the first Marvel Studios production to call for multiple versions of characters or actors in the same settings. Avengers: EndgameFor example, he invited two versions of Chris Evans’ Captain America to interact and loki The series saw multiple versions of the titular Tom Hiddleston coexist. The next time we see Moon Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we won’t just be exploring the officially introduced character Jake Lockley in the show’s post-credits scene but the past may come into play. Curtis expresses interest in diving into the character of Bushman, a well-known figure from the Moon Knight origin story in the comics and mentioned in the series.
“We talked with Bushman. We talked to everyone,” moon knight Executive Producer Grant Curtis said on phase zero Podcast when asked if the series is considered a Bushman presentation. “What we did, one of the initial tasks, was to scroll and read every comic that he appeared in. So, we were reading West Coast Avengers. We read everything differently moon knights and trying to figure out is there a problem we want to do just like our string? And what we found out was that there was no particular problem or operation. It was those amazingly written tones and themes over the decades that we wanted to highlight. And you know those tones and themes because I know you love comedy. But this is a very exciting adventure Indiana Jones– Whiskey. It is the Egyptology rooted in the origin story of Mark Spector and Khuncho. It’s the fearsome guts that makes Mark Spector in Moon Knight, Stephen Grant and Jake Lockley, Bless You, sing. And so wonderful. It is also the comedy that is in this series.”
