New Xbox and PS5 Pro Rumors Divide Fans

According to a new leak from TCL’s demo, a review of the Xbox Series X and PS5 Pro will be released sometime between 2023 and 2024 alongside 8K graphics. Neither Xbox nor PlayStation has confirmed this, but neither has disclosed debunking the leak yet. Of course, only time will tell how much is true in this matter, but it will not surprise anyone if this is true.

In the current climate – where a global chip shortage, shipping crunch and poor economic situation are ruining production – Sony and Xbox have not been able to keep up with demand for PS5 and Xbox Series X respectively. That won’t change anytime soon, but it looks like it won’t stop the major hardware revision of both.

As you’d expect, some PlayStation and Xbox fans are excited about the possibility of a more powerful PS5 and Xbox Series X, especially if they come with 8K gaming, even if it’s impossible to find an 8K 120hz TV that also supports HDMI 2.1. However, others are less enthusiastic because it means paying more than several hundred dollars to get the latest gaming hardware. Meanwhile, others are unimpressed by the idea of ​​bringing more consoles to market when neither Xbox nor PlayStation can meet current demand.

Right now, it’s hard to know what should and shouldn’t be made of a TCL leak, because it hasn’t been verified yet, but it’s not clear how much of the leak is speculation versus actual knowledge of what’s going to happen.
