Resident Evil 3’s next generation upgrade may be soon

Earlier this year, Capcom revealed free next-generation upgrades for Resident Evil 2And Resident Evil 3And Resident Evil 7: Biological Hazard. Since then, the publisher has not provided any details on when these upgrades will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but it seems that the upgrade to Resident Evil 3 Could arrive in the near future. On Twitter, Resident Evil fan BSAAEurope shared an image of their PS5 home screen Resident Evil 3 in the drive. The screen states that “PS5 upgrade available”. Apparently, the router does not come to Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 7.

An image of the claim can be found in the embed tweet below.

it is obvious that Resident Evil 3 The upgrade is not working at the moment, but the prompt seems to indicate that a release is imminent. We don’t know if Capcom plans to release all three Resident Evil upgrades simultaneously, or if we can see them spaced out. On the one hand, fans will likely appreciate the release of all three simultaneously, but on the other hand, their spacing may give fans more time to play them. The upgrades are supposed to be released simultaneously on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.

Capcom Resident Evil 3 The new version appeared on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020. The release of the game came after the huge success Resident Evil 2 Remake, although critical reception was not quite as strong. As with its 1999 predecessor, Resident Evil 3 It follows protagonist Claire Redfield and Carlos Oliveira as the enemy pursues them through Raccoon City. The game’s visuals were already a huge step up from the original, and it will be interesting to see how the new version takes advantage of the next generation hardware! Since the game’s release over two years ago, physical copies have been heavily discounted by many retailers, so fans who haven’t picked up the game yet may want to do so before the upgrade becomes available.
