There’s a lot of hype surrounding the Bloober cast at the moment, with the Polish studio heavily rumored to be involved in a remake. silent hill 2. Over the past few years, Bloober Team has produced a number of games in the horror genre, including layers of fearAnd averageAnd Blair Witch. During a recent interview with IGNPeter Papineau, CEO of Bloober Team, revealed that Lionsgate has enjoyed the studio’s work layers of fear, and offered them the opportunity to work on the horror’s IP addresses. While Saw was more popular, the Bloober team decided to go with the Blair Witch, instead.
“Lionsgate came up to us and said, ‘Guys, we’re in love Layers of fear. We saw what you do with it ForemanSo, we’d love to work with you. We know you like to play your own games, so please, this is our horror IP list; choose one. We can [have chosen] Saw, which is more famous than the Blair Witch, but we decided to take the Blair Witch because the universe has many opportunities to build something new. That was the reason we chose this project,” Babino told IGN.
It was interesting to see what the Bloober team would have done with the Saw license, but the team clearly chose a project that played a bigger role in its strengths! Like layers of fearAnd The Blair Witch Project The movie is based more on psychological horror than physical horror, so it’s not hard to see why the Bloober team would have seen that as a better fit. The franchise also has far fewer films than Saw, which makes it easy to create original content fit for the universe. Papineau went on to say that the Bloober team has gotten a lot of other orders to create licensed games, but the team is very busy, at the moment.
“Right now, to be honest, we constantly have requests from movie studios, or from other licensors, to work with them, because the Bloober team is somehow recognizable. Unfortunately, for about a year, we’ve had [had to say] ‘Pass’ to almost everything, because we don’t have the ability to do any other titles at once.
For now, fans will have to wait patiently to see what Bloober has in store next!
