Tom Cruise allegedly made a royal mistake with Kate Middleton in The Top Gun: Maverick Premiere, but was it a big deal?

As a leading man in Hollywood over the past several decades, Tom Cruise is pretty much accustomed to being in the driver’s seat—or shall we say—in the pilot’s seat. He is famous for performing his stunts in his movie, which includes stunts for his revenge role in the latest release Top Gun: Maverick. Recently, there was talk that the actor may have slightly over the mark when it comes to Kate Middleton’s royal family member at the London premiere. However, was it such a big deal as some were making it?

Simply, the file Top Gun: Maverick The premiere on May 19 was a long-awaited ordeal. Not only has it been obvious that many years have passed since the original movie came out in 1986, but there have been many delays to the release of the new iteration due to COVID. Finally, though, he appeared to see the light of day, and it was a truly royal order. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the show and were, basically, dripping in style. However, it wasn’t their sparkly outfits that caught the attention of online onlookers – Tom Cruise was helping Kate Middleton climb some stairs, as you can see below.

Now, under normal circumstances, helping a lady run up the stairs in America might be seen as a very polite gesture. Unfortunately, since this is the British royals we’re talking about, Tom Cruise’s gesture has been questioned by a few online as a possible mistake. In other words, you can’t just touch a royal hand, even if you’re the star of the movie’s night-event.
