“The Flying Trapeze was inspired by two ideas: first, some classic issues in Nightwing’s single book as he expands his movements with jet-powered gliders,” Redding said. “Second, we loved the death-defying angle of his view of all the different drones in the Batman’s arsenal and the calculation that he could get away with hanging one of the smaller models and still be able to maintain or raise it. He’s designed to feel a little improvisational, and he relies on his intensely sporty style, which fits in with Nightwing’s approach to everything. And flying has a different feel than the head-sliding Batgirl does, and it blends in well with his parkour moves and bigger jumps, also as wrestling does.”
Gotham Knights It launches October 25 – but not for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One – so expect to see Nightwing, fortnite Glider, and the rest of the pat family afterwards.
