Obi-Wan Kenobi It will be the first time Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen have reprized their iconic Star Wars roles since Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The Obi-Wan Kenobi The series will see McGregor confront Darth Vader and in a new interview with him diverse It seemed eventful to say the least.

“Yes, I’ve never worked with Darth Vader before because he wasn’t around,” McGregor reveals. “At the end of Episode III we kind of see him spawn, I guess, but I didn’t work with him and I didn’t work with Storm Troopers. We worked with the Clone Troopers, but they were basically not there. These flashbacks of being young… Seeing Darth Vader coming at you is so terrifying. I don’t care who you are! Even if you know it’s Hayden [Christensen] there. You know it’s still pretty scary to see that face come to you.”

McGregor previously shared the same sentiment when meeting Darth Vader face to face. The actor reveals how much of an impression he made on him and it honestly scares him. In a recent interview with Total Film, Obi-Wan star Kenobi shared a more in-depth look at the first time he came face-to-face with the Sith Lord.

“I’ve never met Darth Vader,” McGregor told the magazine, which featured star Kenobi on its latest cover. “I rehearsed for the scene with Vader, but not with the helmet on or anything like that. When we came to do the scene, when they yelled ‘work,’ he had to come behind me. I turned, and stroked Darth Vader was approaching me. It was like If only I was six again. I’d never wear a Vader helmet. I’d never look him in the eyes.”

“You scared shit out of me,” Obi-Wan Kenobi The actor added. “I’m not kidding. It gave me a proper shock of sheer fear. I was like, ‘Oh my God, this doesn’t represent.’ this is really. I’m really, really scared now. And the same thing would happen with Stormtroopers. I worked with Clone soldiers before, but a lot of them were CGI. I’ve never worked with Stormtroopers, and again, I was seven years old again. Because when you’re actually facing one Stormtroop soldiers, with a cannon, it’s like: “Fucking hell.” It’s like actual childhood memories of fear. That’s how deep it goes into us. I’ve acted for 30 years, and I don’t really feel scared when I act scared…but I’ve had moments in this So scary. It’s so funny.”

Lucasfilm and the streaming service describe the series as follows: “In the era of the Galactic Empire, a former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned into enemies and confront the wrath of the Empire.” Obi-Wan Kenobi It will premiere on May 27, 2022 on Disney+.
