Obi-Wan Kenobi features the veil as an amazing Star Wars character

We’re talking about spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi below! The first two episodes of the new Star Wars series on Disney+, Obi-Wan KenobiMake fans love what they see. Along with the return of Ewan McGregor as the title character, the series’ plot and surprises get a lot of cheer while watching. Central to the film’s story is the sudden appearance of a young Princess Leia, with Obi-Wan on a rescue mission to find her. After being tracked back to the crime-ridden planet of Daiyu, Obi-Wan finds himself face to face with… well, a familiar face, and Star Wars fans know him well, Temuera Morrison.

As fans know, Morrison played Django Fett Star Wars: Episode Two – Attack of the Clones Where he also took on the role of … all the clones. He will reprise this role in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the SithAnd now he’s done it again in the Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the series, Obi-Wan arrives on the planet and beholds a homeless person nearby, one of them holding the helmet of a clone soldier and asking if he has any extra credit. Given Obi-Wan’s extensive history in the Clone Wars, even leading several clones into battle, he certainly feels a great deal of pity for the now-decimated clone (the empire has moved to the non-clone Stormtroopers of the current era).

To give this moment more weight, just before he discovers the clone, Obi-Wan says aloud (speaking to Qui-Gon Jinn), “If you need guidance, Master, that’s it now.” “Save any credit? Help a veteran get a warm meal,” Morrison murmurs at once. It’s a moment that allows Obi-Wan to reconnect with his past, something he literally buried in the desert at Tatooine and rejected for a decade. It’s the veil that has surprised Star Wars fans everywhere, but it’s thematically significant in the series.

Morrison recently reprized his role in Boba Fett again for boba fett book The TV series, Star Wars, premieres 2022 on the streaming service, but it’s unclear when he might play that role again. The series has not been officially renewed for a second season but has appeared in The MandalorianThe next installment of episodes definitely looks possible, there’s already a lot of crossover between the two episodes.

McGregor and Morrison join them Obi-Wan Kenobi Written by Hayden Christiansen, Camille Nanjiani, Robert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Maya Erskine, Song Kang, Benny Safdie, Simon Kessel, Bonnie Pace, Moses Ingram and Indira Varma.
