Kiki Palmer from Nope Shows Love Bleach with Slick Yoruichi Cosplay

Kiki Palmer, star of Jordan Peele’s next feature film, Nope among many others, has given Bleach a cool new look with some surprising cosplay taking Yoruichi Shihouin! It’s no secret that mass audiences of anime and manga have taken off more in pop culture in the past few years, but it’s not the only niche activity that’s recently gotten some major games onto a big new stage. Ballroom shows go back several decades, and without delving into them, these shows and home culture have seen more pop culture recognition thanks to shows like Legendary on HBO Max.

Now these two cultures collide in a cool new way as one of the latest episodes of legendary It was released on HBO Max and featured a set of challenges entirely inspired by the anime. This meant that not only did the various competing houses look different from the cartoon, but the judges did the same. For Keke Palmer on the anime theme, Bleach gave a big shout out and came out in full cosplay for Yoruichi’s famous look.
