Today, The Pokemon Company revealed five new Pokemon that will appear in Pokemon scarlet and violet. The new Pokemon includes the trio of Pokemon likely to appear in the first part of the game, as well as the Mascot Legendary Pokemon that appear in the box art. While details about a few Pokémon have been intentionally left vague, you can check out the official artwork and what we know about all five new Pokémon below:
Pawmi
Pawmi is a clone of “Pikachu” in the new region and is described as a “Pokemon Mouse”. Pawmi is an electric type pokemon. The official description of Pawmi is below:
In addition to the electrical sacs in her cheeks, Baume has electrical discharge organs on her front arms. He generates electricity by rubbing his cheeks, then shocks his opponents by touching them with the bandages on their front arms.
The fur covering its body is a good insulator against the cold and serves the purpose of storing electricity. When you feel uncomfortable, this cautious Pokemon begins to rub its cheeks, preparing to discharge an electric shock.

Lechonk is a regular type Pokemon and is described as a “Hog Pokemon”. The official Lechonk description is below:
Lechonk uses his sense of smell to find and eat the most fragrant wild herbs and the richest berries. As a result of her eating habits, she has come to emit a weed-like scent that Bug-type Pokémon don’t like. If the opponent attacks him and is startled, he will move forward in a panic.
At first glance it may seem fat, but in fact, the Pokemon’s body is made mostly of muscle by constantly wandering in search of food.

Smoliv is a Grass/Normal type Pokemon and is described as an “Olive Pokemon”. The official Smoliv description is below:
The oil that comes out of its head has a very strong bitter taste, and it is not fit for consumption. When surprised or attacked, Smoliv will release this oil, slowing down his opponent. And then you’ll seize that moment to run away.
In the fruit on top, Smoliv stores the oil made from the nutrients it collects through the process of photosynthesis. As a result, they can go for a week without eating or drinking. It prefers dry, sunny climates, and seems to spend its days sunbathing.
Croydon and Meridon
Interestingly, no details of Creedon and Meridon were revealed in today’s announcement outside of their respective names. Both Pokémon are dragon-like in appearance with a puffy chest resembling a wheel. Miraidon also has what appears to be a pair of exhaust pipes behind her legs.
