Child Tax Credit Deadline: What Should You Do Before July 31?

cConnecticut Governor Ned Lamont He announced that families in the state can start applying for a state tax deduction of up to $250 per child for a maximum of three children starting June 1.

“The application period for this discount will take place over the next several weeks, with the rebates coming out in late August, just in time for the start of the next school year.

“I strongly urge all eligible families in Connecticut to apply so that the discount can be sent to you without any delay.”

Guidelines for Child Tax Credits

In order to determine an individual’s eligibility, individuals or families must meet the following income guidelines. For individuals who are unmarried or married separately, the income limit must be $100,000 or less.

The head of the family must earn less than or equal to $160,000, while the income of spouses must not exceed $200,000.

Individuals with higher income rates may be eligible to receive a reduced discount based on their income.

Those who wish to apply for a discount must apply to the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services.

The application period will open on June 1, 2022 and end on July 31, 2022. This schedule will enable eligible recipients to receive funds beginning in late August.
