Police arrest white supremacists at Coeur d’Alene’s Pride in the Park event

aOn Saturday, during the annual Pride in the Park event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, police arrested more than 30 masked men who arrived at the scene packed into a U-Haul truck.

One police officer said the white supremacist group was accused of plotting a riot. The officer informed the onlookers that the U-Haul truck had shields, spears, and other items that could be used as weapons.

When asked how the police learned of the U-Haul stop, the officer said they had informants who had warned them of the group’s intentions prior to the event. Reportedly, the arrested men are members of a neo-fascist hate group called the Patriot Front.

“It seems that they did not come here to participate in peaceful events,” said Bob Norris, Kootenai County Police Chief.

Journalist arrested for unknown reasons

Alyssa Azar, the journalist who was covering the event, shared a thread on Twitter detailing exactly what was going on with the hate group. Azar ended her coverage with a tweet saying that she is being held and does not know why.

Azar also tweeted that a group of men were harassing a transgender woman but that the police arrested her instead of the fascists. Another event across the street from Pride in the Park was set up by “Christian Fascists” who were singing and praying, some with automatic rifles.

Azar later tweeted that she was free, saying it was an “illegal search and seizure.” She claims that the police were only looking for a reason to arrest left-wing members.

“I’m free now. I need a break for my physical and mental health. I’ll update more when I’m satisfied,” Azar tweeted. “Big headache. Basically it was complete nonsense reasons, illegal search and confiscation, just looking for a reason to arrest lefties, basically trying to get information.”

Law Enforcement Press Conference

Law enforcement held a press conference detailing the arrest of 31 members of the National Front who were charged with a misdemeanor conspiracy to riot. The officer then said that they had no informants within the group, claiming that a “very intelligent citizen” reported that what “looked like a small army” was at U Hall.

The officer said all 31 members will appear before a judge early Monday morning. He also stated that the police department was in contact with the FBI throughout the day.
