Banjo-Kazooie fans devastated after Xbox Bethesda show

During today’s Xbox Bethesda Showcase, Microsoft pulled the curtain on a number of exciting new games set to launch on the system over the next year. There’s a lot of things Xbox fans are looking forward to, but many were hoping to see the new Banjo-Kazooie game revealed. There hasn’t been a new game in the series since 2008 Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and BoltsAnd fans really think the series might finally see a new entry. Rumors started circulating over the past week, but things clearly didn’t work out.

Xbox acquired the rights to the Banjo-Kazooie franchise back in 2002, following the acquisition of Rare. Outside Screws and nutsXbox hasn’t done much of a franchise since then. the original Banjo Kazooie Available on Xbox Game Pass, it was added to the N64 app from Nintendo Switch Online earlier this year. Banjo & Kazooie also appeared as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros., leading many to hope that the return of the bird and the bear may be in the making. For now, fans will have to keep hoping.
