In the midst of a major career comeback thanks to her performance on Showtime yellow jacketsChristina Ricci will soon return to the land of the Addams Family in the new Netflix Wednesday reimagining. While she won’t be playing Wednesday Addams, she does pay tribute to her successor’s work on Gina Ortega.
Ritchie said during the FYC event for Yellowjackets diverse Ortega is “incredible” in the role, with praise from both director Tim Burton and costar Gwendolyn Christie.
“It’s so much fun. I loved working with Tim [Burton]. I’ve worked with Gwendolyn Christie, it’s been great. An alumna of the Adams Family of Merchants said Jenna was wonderful. “I saw some wardrobe pictures before I went [to set] So I learned [what she looked like in character] And I was like, It’s a great recent shot on Wednesday. It’s so real to heart and soul [the original], but then incredibly modern and gorgeous. “
Netflix just released a teaser on Wednesday, featuring Ortega in her iconic look on Wednesday. The joke also included Thing, the severed hand that appeared most often Adams family projects. Although the project doesn’t have a release date yet, the broadcaster has confirmed that it’s aiming for a fall 2022 release.
