Miles Teller is fully intent on returning to the land of superheroes and comic books. The Top Gun: Maverick The graduate was unaware of the popular fan campaigns trying to land the role of the actor in HBO Max Green Lantern Corps Or Disney + coming Nova series, but he told ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian that he’s sure to appear as two characters.
“I haven’t heard any of that grumbling yet, but I’m sure if it was loud enough, I would,” Teller said. “Yes, of course [I’d be down]. I love the fan base. I love my fan base Marvel and DC and I love these movies as a member of the audience and they seem to take these characters more and more seriously because the fans deserve them. There is nothing cheap about these characters and if the right thing happens I will definitely be open to it.”
Tyler last appeared in superhero cinema as a member of the ill-fated Josh Trank The Fantastic Four Rebooting in 2015.
“I think it was Clooney who said you can make a bad movie out of a good script, and you can’t make a good movie out of a bad script, and that’s very true,” Teller previously told the Happy Podcast of his thoughts on the reboot. “If they tell you maybe your part isn’t that big and they say, ‘Oh, you’re going to get bigger in the supplemental part’ or ‘Oh, we’ll rewrite’ and ‘Yeah, we’ll absorb all these notes,’ if you’re in a position where you can say put off I won’t sign on That dotted line until this script is exactly where you want it to be, you’re in a very lucky situation.Because I know the actors that I’ve been to literally Oscar-winning shows that told me the script was struggling every day to get it in place [they] wanted it and [they] They were always fighting to get the best version of him.”
John Krasinski most recently played Red Richards during the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though it’s not yet clear if the actor will reprise his role in the upcoming Marvel Studios reboot. You can watch our full conversation with Teller above
