Two young actors go, ‘Wow. that’s it. This could be our big chance. This could be a big moment for us. Yes, it really happened, and that’s what it was. Just in terms of the uncertainty, the unknown, the possibilities, it was all new and exciting and wonderful.”
“One of the most vivid memories I have of realizing” Wow. I think it will work. It was at Comic-Con. There were two or 3,000 people in the room and they played the trailer. And eventually the crowd broke out and they were screaming and chanting, etc. And I was really gone at that moment ‘Oh, wow.’ I think this will work. There was a lot of effort, hard work and concern about what we were doing and would the audience be happy? Will people see it? Will people want to see this movie? To get that response and that instant response from the audience standing in front of the camera with the crew, you don’t get it. If you’re playing in the theater or playing in a stadium or whatever, you feel it. We haven’t tested that yet,” Hemsworth added.
It will be Marvel Studios’ next big project to hit theaters Thor: Love and Thunder. Marvel Studios describes the film as follows: “The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey like never before – in search of inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). To combat this threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who, to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably uses his magical hammer, Mjolnir, Like Mighty Thor. Together, they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover and stop the butcher god’s vengeance secret before it’s too late.”
The film is directed by Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular character, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Jamie Alexander as Lady Sword, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Sean Gunn as Craiglin, Dave Bautista as Drax Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gore the Lord’s Butcher. In addition to directing, Waititi will reprise his role as Korg. Thor: Love and Thunder It arrives in cinemas on July 8, 2022!
