Sanrio has made some of the best characters in the anime world, and their mascots have a huge fan base. From Hello Kitty to Tuxedo Sam and Kuromi, there are plenty of Sanrio characters to love, but only one can be the most famous. Now, Sanrio has outdone this winner thanks to a recent poll, and it turns out the repeat victor has won the crown this time!
According to Sanrio, the annual Character Contest has scored their votes, and the winner is clear. For the third year in a row, Cinnamoroll is Sanrio’s most popular mascot. The rabbit-like character won a gold medal for the first time in 2018, and her popularity hasn’t budged much since she peaked.

Of course, there are some famous Sanrio anthologies missing Fromm this list. Agritsuko did not make the cut, and the same can be said about Gudetama. The mascots are some of Sanrio’s latest creations, so it’s no surprise to see them fall behind in the fan vote. However, that doesn’t mean the couple is cannon fodder. Netflix has a successful original anime dedicated to Aggretsuko, and the streaming service has announced plans for a Gudetama TV series.
