Chapter 10 Summary
Anyane and Arc confront the wyverns and Arc uses his magic to scare them. Aryan and Ponta are also affected by magic and remind Arc to warn them before using this intense magic. While discussing the path to the Revlon Empire, Ark notices that Aryan is nervous. She tells him that she is nervous about traveling there because it is illegal to enslave elves in Revlon Empire.
A dwarf named Carsi Heald approaches them, and Aryan wonders how he can reveal his ears in public so easily. Karsi replies that he has been living in this city for ten years and humans and elves coexist here. When asked what he wants from them, Carsi replies that he studies monsters and their biology, and wants them to pick up one for him. As payment, Carsi offers them a map of the Sacred Empire of Revlon and a book based on studies of monsters.
Back in the room, Ark and Aryan started drinking, and after a few drinks, Aryan started acting like a drunk. The next morning, everyone starts to believe that Aryan and Ark fell in love last night, which infuriates Aryan. As planned, they travel with Carsi in the morning to catch the Sand Worm. While Cary Arc explains about the Sand Worm, Ariane notes that the other gigs aren’t following them. Suddenly, a Sand Worm appeared from the ground, and Ariane attacked it. But her fiery magic is worthless against him, and Ark decides to fight the monster.

The bow lifts the sandworm into the air and defeats it by smashing it to the ground. Aryan asks Karsi why he lives with humans, to which he replies that he loves living with them. He also says he hopes one day elves and humans will start coexisting. Karsi then tells them about the town of Lamport, where a mortal king marries a dwarf. This comes as a surprise to Aryan, and Karsi says it happened after the king rescued her from slavery and fell in love with her.
At the end of the episode, we see that Fumba is responsible for the abnormal growth of the worms. By order of Domitian, he fed slaves and villagers to worms.
