Tim Drake is finally getting his sitcom back on. On Thursday, DC Comics announced the first details surrounding Tim Drake: Robin, first character single series since 2011 Red Robin. This news arrives just two days after the release DC Pride: Tim Drake Specialone take that recalled some of Tim’s recent groundbreaking stories in Batman: Urban Legends, Including the revelation last summer that Tim is bisexual. The new series is written by Megan Fitzmartin with art by Riley Rossmo. The first issue is due to be released on September 27.
This high-energy action series takes Tim center stage as a puzzle takes shape over more than a year. A new villain who’s been hunting Tim from afar decides to take things up close and personal, endangering Bernard and everyone else Tim cares about. All of that and Tim finally made a corner in Gotham City just for himself, and set up shop in his own canoe…the hut killing boat?
Tim Drake: Robin #1 will feature a variety of covers that celebrate Tim’s different costumes over the years. This will include a 1 year later variant written by Jorge Jimenez, a 1:25 variant debut by Sweeney Boo, a 1:50 variant of Young Justice Era by Dan Mora, and a 1:100 variant of Teen Titans Era by Jamal Campbell, with main cover written by Ricardo López Ortiz. .
