With Aharen san wa Hakarenai counting down to the final episode, many are now curious to know if the anime will return for a second season?
The spring 2022 anime airing is coming to a close and going back to the past three months of content, it feels like romantic comedies have dominated the global conversation.
One of those series that has consistently managed to infiltrate various polls and top ten charts was Aharen san wa Hakarenai, also referred to as Unfathomable Aharen-san, an adaptation of the original Asato Mizu manga by Felix Films.
While Aharen san wa Hakarenai hasn’t been publicly renewed for a second season yet, the future remains very bright for budding classroom romance — here’s why.

Aharen san wa Hakarenai Episode 12: Release date and time
Aharen San Wa Hakarenai Season 1 Episode 12 is course To premiere worldwide on Crunchyroll on Friday 17th JuneThe tenth.

Will Aharen San be renewed for season 2?
While Aharen san wa Hakarenai hasn’t been publicly renewed for a second season, the chances of the anime being renewed for more romance are thankfully very high. Animation renewals usually depend on two main factors, the availability of source material and the franchise’s broader popularity.
Fortunately, there is plenty of source material from Asato Mizu’s original manga series available for adaptation for a second anime series. for every anime geekEpisode 12 is expected to coincide with the end of the seventh part of the manga series that was released in August 2019.
The good news is that as of June 17The tenth14 volumes total for Tankobon published In Japan – which means there’s enough source material for Aharen san wa Hakarenai’s second season right away!
The anime must also prove popular enough to merit the resources required to produce a second season. The series currently records 7.3/10 in Anime List With over 40,000 reviews and a 7/10 in IMDB. While these results aren’t necessarily the best indicator of the series’ popularity, Aharen san wa Hakarenai spent nine weeks in the top 10 fan polls in AnyTrends (peaking at 5The tenth venue) via the Spring 2022 List.
The only visible caveat is that, as Anime Geek notes, anime mods haven’t particularly boosted manga sales in Japan. However, the series’ overall success with global audiences as well as the availability of source material from the manga gives us confidence to say that Aharen san wa Hakarenai season 2 looks very likely.
When will the second season be released?
The anime adaptation of Aharen San Wa Hakarenai was first announced in July 2021, debuting on April 2second abbreviation2022 – ~12-month production cycle assuming several months of development before unveiling.
Fortunately, as mentioned earlier, there is enough source material from the manga series to immediately produce a second anime season, greatly reducing the potential waiting time for season two.
More good news is that the studio behind Aharen san wa Hakarenai, Felix Films, has only one project in the pipeline for 2023 at the time of writing – an adaptation of the MF Ghost manga by Shuichi Shigeno.
Given the reasonable assumption that Aharen san wa Hakarenai’s second season will see a similar production cycle, fans can expect the anime to return once again to the spring broadcast slate in 2023.
However, if MF Ghost is later scheduled to premiere in April, this second season of Aharen san wa Hakarenai will likely push it onto the Summer 2023 roster.
