Earlier this week, movie fans (and everyone else) received a very special photo. Next Barbie The film directed by Greta Gerwig showed our first look at Ryan Gosling as Kane. Unsurprisingly, the internet went pretty crazy about the photo, and made some pretty interesting comparisons. Turns out, fans aren’t the only ones flocking to Gosling’s photo. The actor’s partner of over ten years, Eva Mendes, took to Instagram with a huge reaction.
Mendes wrote, “So. F. Funny. So. F. Good. Her post has received some great reactions from other celebrities and big accounts.” Rita Wilson commented: “I mean….. I really can’t even…. This definitely breaks the internet “This is hers 🥺💗” Getting to Hollywood pointed out. Writer Esmé Weijun Wang added, “I really can’t wait to see this 😂 too – it’s the return of wet hair.” Of course, Gosling also rocked the bleached look the place beyond the pinesin which he starred with Mendes back in 2012. Back in April, CinemaCon debuted its first look at Margot Robbie in the titular role. Fans were also very pleased to see the Oscar-nominated actor rocking it Barbie a look. In addition to Robbie and Gosling, the film will also star Simo Liu (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), America Ferrera (Superstore), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), Alexandra Shipp (Tick, tick, … Boom!), Will Ferrell (Anchorman(Issa Ray)Unsafe), Michael Cera (Very bad), and Ariana Greenblatt (Avengers: Infinity War).
“I think it’s a great opportunity to bring out some positivity in the world and a chance to be ambitious for younger children,” Robbie said of the film in a 2019 interview.
“Playing with Barbie fosters confidence, curiosity, and connection throughout a child’s journey of self-discovery,” Robbie E. He explained, “For nearly 60 years in the brand, Barbie has enabled children to imagine themselves in ambitious roles from princess to president. I am very honored to take on this role and to produce a film that I believe will have an enormous positive impact on children and audiences around the world. No I can imagine better partners from Warner Bros and Mattel to bring this movie to the big screen.”
