The Google Pixel 6a won’t go on sale until next month, but the leaks have already led to a bunch of details about the phone leaking out. The latest release includes a series of official-looking promotions.

Of course, the fact that we’ve seen the Pixel 6a before, and in all three colors, means there’s nothing in the renders that we don’t already know. And if this leak is legitimate, it shows how bad the Google leak problem really is.
In recent weeks, we’ve seen two unlocked Pixel 6a cases appear online: One is supposed to be from Google itself And the Another from Malaysian YouTuber Fadel Halim. In addition, there is an incident where it was not announced at the time Pixel Watch was left in a restaurantApparently revealing a handful of key details about Google’s first smartwatch ahead of its unveiling at Google I/O the following month.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 6a will open on July 21, and the phone will officially go on sale a week later on July 28. It’ll cost you $449 / £399, and will be available in three colors: Chalk (white), Sage. (green) and charcoal (dark grey).
All three variants will have the same hardware, including Google’s Tensor chipset, a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,410mAh battery, An 8-megapixel selfie camera and a dual rear camera module with a 12.2-megapixel main lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Charging is limited to 18 watts.
Naturally, the Pixel 6a will come with Android 12 out of the box, with all the Android-based perks like the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. This includes being the first to upgrade to Android 13 when it arrives later this year.
We don’t know what kind of performance the Pixel 6a should give us yet. But we’ll be running our own tests when the phone launches to see how good the phone, battery life, and Tensor chipset really are.
